Well, I'm another year older! Yikes...30 is creeping up on me! I spent my birthday with my wonderful family! We went to church and then spent a very hot morning at the farmer's market! I don't think I can explain how HOT it was! We bought fresh produce, had some frozen yogurt (not me, of course :) MSPI diet still in full effect!), took some silly pictures, and relaxed! We spent the evening dining at my favorite restraunt! The evening took a turn when we got home for gifts though! No need to post the details, so if you must know...ask! :) The night was topped off with MSPI safe cupcakes, made and decorated by me!
Matt's birthday has passed as well, since my last post! It was fantastic! We packed up and headed to Mahoney State Park for a night of camping! We decided since it was going to be hot and with how young Joshua is, that we would camp in a cabin. We met my parents for an afternoon of swimming, grilled out at the cabin, and our little family stayed the night in a cozy little cabin. It was so memorable! We played games until late, cooked smore's, made pancakes, and enjoyed our family!
We are quickly approaching the boys' birthdays, and boy oh boy, do they know it! They cannot wait! They are going to a VBS program this week, so for two days Josh and I are going to have some alone time! We're also talking about the preschool decisions for the fall! I can't believe that it's just right around the corner! Soon, I'll be planning their graduations!
Our garden is AMAZING! The tomato plant is now as tall as me with huge bunches of tomatos on them! We've also harvested some cucumbers, that have proven to be delicious! We should be able to harvest carrots here soon, and the tomato's should start turning red here soon! Our pepper plants that we thought were failing have all of a sudden started to pop out some good looking green peppers! Our herbs are doing well too.
About a week ago, I noticed one of our Swallow tail butterflies return and fly around our backyard. It was so exciting to see her. She landed on the parsley, which made me think that maybe she had laid some eggs there again! Sure enough, Matt just noticed 2 caterpillars there the other day! They've already grown so much since we first saw them. So excited to watch yet again another miracle of God!
