Well Well! I don't even know where to begin! It's been so busy since I wrote last...I still feel that I can't get a handle on things and now it's 3 weeks until Christmas so I think I'm giving up on getting back to normal! Maybe that will be my New Year's Resolution! :)
We were supposed to spend Thanksgiving in Colorado with my family, but God had other plans. The night before we were supposed to leave Matt got a call from his dad saying that his Grandpa had just passed away. It was very unexpected. We spent several hours after the call trying to figure out what to do, and made the decision to stay here and head up to Minnesota as soon as possible. Matt had gotten very close to his grandpa over the past several years and just wanted to be with his dad. I was supposed to leave with Matt on Thanksgiving morning with Peyton for Minnesota, but yet again another change of plans. I woke up early and realized I was coming down with the flu that Peyton had earlier in the week. We decided it would be better if I stayed home until I was feeling well. I think that out of the 24 Thanksgiving's I've been alive for I've only ate 18 Thanksgiving dinners (I'm always sick). Eventually Peyton and I made it up to Minnesota. There was a lot of grieving obviously, but it was also really nice to see all the family again.
Since we've been back, we've just been taking it slow. Now we are trying to get in the Christmas mood! I've done a little shopping, our tree is up, we've had our first snow and an ice storm and we went to the Nutcracker ballet (Christmas tradition!). It's only going to get crazier from here!Matt's mom and dad and sister are coming in town for Christmas! YAY! Then we are going to try to get to Colorado, as we REALLY are wanting to see everyone! (Miss you all!)
Happy Holidays!
Peyton is dancing ALOT more now and stomping his feet! His favorite word right now is "no-no". He can point to his eye's and nose!
